As promised, here’s some photos of our new puppy… Monkey!

He’s an 11-month old Puggle (mix of Beagle and Pug) - and he is HYPER…

I mean, like nuclear-powered-15-cups-of-coffee hyper… He never lays down, he never sits still… 1am this morning he was still super-charged… if only I had 1/20th of his energy!

It was difficult to even get his picture, because he wouldn’t sit still, even for a moment!

I’m thinking I may get a few comments from this particular blog.  Why do some married men choose to not wear a wedding ring?   I’m very perplexed by this.  Recently I asked a good friend of mine where his wedding ring was, and why it wasn’t on his left ring finger.  His response…the typical one that I usually get…”I keep losing them.”  How do guys lose their wedding rings?  Do they not get them sized correctly so that they stay on their finger?  Do they forget where they laid it when they change the back left tire?  Or do they lose it when they fix the garbage disposal or fish those lincoln logs out of the toilet?  Hmmm….does it bother their wives that there isn’t a ring on their finger showing their commitment?  I’m just wondering…I truly have no answer to this and was hoping to hear from some ladies and/or men about their feelings and experience with this so called “lost wedding ring phenomenon”.   Let me finalize my curios wanderings with this finale, I have never met a woman who has “lost” her wedding ring.  I usually see the same wedding ring on a woman’s hand that she had put on the day she said “yes”.   My daddy has even lost a couple of rings…the first one was when he accidentally cut his finger off with a chainsaw…I think that is a justifiable excuse.

Yep, it’s happened again. And again.

Every few months, a story lands on my desk about somebody seeing either Jesus or Mary in the humble form of snack food. I’ve told you about Jesus or the virgin Mary appearing in a grilled cheese sandwich, potato chips, and other crunchy edibles… now, we can add two more to the list.

Pastor Steve Cagg, from Houston, was munching on a bag of Cheetos® when he found one that looked a bit odd. He says at first he thought it looked like a dog, but when he turned it around he saw what he said was an image of Jesus praying.

He has called it - Cheesus.

One doubter says the Cheeto® looks like Lietenant Dan from the movie “Forrest Gump”. But the Cheeto ® is still special to Cragg. He keeps it in a special box so that he doesn’t eat it by accident.

Not to be out-done by a Texan, A Missouri woman now says that she too has found Jesus in a bag of Cheetos®. When Kelly Ramey opened a snack-sized bag of Cheetos®, she felt something unusual and checked it out.

Most of her family and friends believe it looks like a mini orange sculpture of Jesus on the cross. Others see something completely different.

A local minister does not see anything theologically special about the Cheeto®, but thinks some good could come from it.

Ramey doesn’t plan to sell the Cheeto® because it’s bringing a lot of joy into her home. She will keep it in a safe deposit box or put it on display so more people can enjoy it.

The British Library says the full text of the Codex Sinaiticus will be available to Web users by next July, digitally reconnecting parts that are held in Britain, Russia, Germany and a monastery in Egypt’s Sinai Desert.

A preview of the Codex, which also has some parts of the Old Testament, will hit the Web on Thursday — the Book of Psalms and the Gospel of Mark.

“Only a few people have ever had the opportunity to see more than a couple of pages of the [Codex],” said Scot McKendrick, the British Library’s head of Western manuscripts.

The Web site will give everyone access to a “unique treasure,” he said.

When budgets shrink, eating out at restaurants is usually one of the first things to go.
