The National Institute on Media and the Family, a conservative media watchdog group that has repeatedly criticized the game industry for failing to adequately warn families about inappropriate content, issued its 13th annual video game report card on Tuesday. The NIMF has red-flagged ten violent games concerned parents should keep away from the under-17 crowd this holiday, citing excessive bloodshed and brutality:

A Cold Thanksgiving…in the Frozen North!
I was about 13 years old and it was Turkey Day! Normal activities were happening around the house. Dad was watching football in his brown recliner, my brother was playing a board game on the floor, and I was helping mom in the kitchen. Mom usually cooked the large bird in the oven overnight, basting it every couple of hours, and letting it cook long and slow. She wanted to make sure that we had the juiciest, tastiest, most tender turkey meat ever! Well, on Thanksgiving Day 1982 - the electricity went off. UH OH! That meant…NO COOKED FOOD! It was off for hours…and it was 40 below outside! BRRRRR Finally after many, many hours, it came back on, and the turkey finished cooking, as did all of the other side dishes and pies. I think we ate about 7pm that night. After that mom swore that she would own a gas-powered stove so we would never have a late, stressfilled Turkey Day again!

Yep, it’s happened again… this time in our own sunshine state.
Troy Eckonen of Pompano Beach, FL says he found this image of Jesus in his french toast.
He says he isn’t planning on selling the toast, and hopes that the image will help “renew the hope and faith” of those who see it.
Hmmm… not sure I really see it in the photo there… can you see it?
Just looks like a piece of toast to me.
